Conti Roll at Home
How to Make Perth’s Best Italian Rolls
There’s an art to a great Italian roll - and we think it starts with one simple rule: let the smallgoods do the talking.
Good Italian salami, pancetta and prosciutto bring the flavour, texture and character to a perfect conti roll.
Below we have three panini combinations that are built with big Italian flavour, quality ingredients and a seriously good crusty roll.
1. Heirloom Tomato, Prosciutto & Buffalo Mozzarella
This is the fresh, classic one. Sweet heirloom tomatoes and fragrant basil cut through the richness of silky Re & Sons prosciutto, while creamy La Delizia buffalo mozzarella brings everything together.
You’ll need
Crusty Italian bread rolls
Re & Sons prosciutto
Heirloom tomatoes, sliced
La Delizia buffalo mozzarella
Fresh basil leaves
Extra virgin olive oil
Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Build it
Slice your roll and give it a light drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Start with a generous layer of prosciutto. Add thick slices of heirloom tomato, followed by torn pieces of buffalo mozzarella and plenty of fresh basil. Season the tomato with a little sea salt and black pepper, then finish with another tiny drizzle of olive oil.
2. Rolled Pancetta, Friarielli, Stracciatella & Hot Chilli
This is the one for anyone who likes a little heat.
Re & Sons Rolled Pancetta, Italian friarielli, luscious La Delizia Stracciatella and a hit of Bippi Italian Style Hot Chilli, and you've got a panini that punches well above its weight.

3. Veneto Salami, Semi-Sundried Tomato & Rocket
A proper Italian roll doesn't need a dozen ingredients. This one proves it.
